About This Sample

In this sample, With the help of this research the design and evaluation of the stormwater infiltration drainage system for the campus of the University of Bradford. The site investigation revealed the loamy soil presence with good infiltration properties. With the help of hydrological analysis, the estimation is done on the volumes of runoff for 10-, 20-, and 50-years rainfall return periods. Multiple design options were also developed in order to incorporate the infiltration properties of Green Roof, permeable pavement as well as bio-retention cells. The 50-year designs achieve nearly 80% of reduction runoff but it has the highest cost. All the design shows an important improvement over the already existing infrastructure of the stormwater in mitigating the runoff and preventing the flood. The research also demonstrates the significance of integrating infrastructure of green with conventional drainage systems for increasing urban landscape sustainability and efficiency suggestion include further studies on the performance and the changes of climate on long-term adaptability for the proposed system.
