Research Proposal Solutions

Students are required to produce an individually assessed research proposal which develops a strong research scope, justification, and methodology to the management research in action project.

Critically assess an area of nursing practice and create a research project to answer a specific question. Create suitable systematic search strategies for literature and choose suitable literature pertinent to the research project.  Critically appraise research literature and synthesize findings in a structured manner.

A proposed research topic written as a question. A section on the background and context of your question. A brief review of the academic literature. An explanation of how you would approach answering your proposed question, the methods you would use and why, as well as any limitations you foresee in this approach.

Clear introduction to the proposed dissertation topic or client project. The parameters (scope) of the proposed topic or project are clearly discussed and are feasible. The importance of the study is clearly and convincingly discussed; i.e. rationale – academic and practical value if it is a dissertation topic or the importance of solving the client’s problem. References must be provided to support your introduction.

This module is designed to enable students to understand the process of conducting research and have the skills to undertake research in topics relating to the events, tourism, hospitality and allied sectors.
