The aim of this module is to make students understand the process of drug design and development, i.e. how a new drug is designed and reaches the market. This is a student-led module in which students will choose a current topic of their choice, research it and prepare a report. In this process, they will not only gain scientific knowledge of their topic but will also get an opportunity to understand the role of stakeholders such as companies, consumers, research institutions and the government in the healthcare system. The focus of the module is to develop critical thinking and research skills of the students.
This module will provide an opportunity to students to analyze the latest research, evaluate the potential of their topic in drug development and understand the impact of society on drug development. At the same time, students will seek to effectively communicate their research and scientific concepts.
