About This Unit

BE969-7-SP Research Methods in management and marketing commonly include: surveys, focus groups, interviews, observational research, experimental research, qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis, field trials, and secondary data analysis.  Secondary data source draws on Twitter postings from influential leaders such as Sundar Pichai and Elon Musk to provide a glimpse into the actual discourse between AI and them. Yet it must be underlined that, therefore, these results can be limited to this sample. Thematic analysis is a qualitative research technique that provides a means for extracting and describing underlying patterns, themes, and meanings from data. It is a process that is done by dissecting and organising data, into introductive ideas and theme categories.  Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, and Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, both visualize a future where artificial intelligence (AI) has a turning point impact on different industries. Pichai, who is the CEO of the Alphabet parent company of Google, and Musk the head of Tesla and SpaceX, provide a boost in AI developments in their sectors. One more key idea in Pichai's and Musk's vision of AI is collaboration between AI and human beings which is of great importance. They predict there will be an evolution where AI is used to amplify human capacities, not to replace them.
