The many strands that make up this web of language learning became entangled. Current work takes a conceptual view on language transfer which delves into its fine points and consequences for students experiencing multilingual difficulties. This theme concerns me because of the way it affects all language learners, taking into account my personal experiences. This is a remarkable achievement given the complexity of the project and the short time frame. Why do adults have such a hard time picking up language in the classroom, while young people seem to pick it up so easily? The main idea here is to focus on the motivational issues that young people face while taking part in short-term language programs. Instead of trying to analyze motivation for all age groups across different program lengths, it tries to examine what these types of programs offer for young students. In addition, understanding how students’ motivations develop under these specific conditions will help tailor effective language learning experiences for teenagers studying English or any other foreign language.
