Consider What? Why? How?

What is the essay about? Explain the purpose and focus of the essay (TIP: use this assessment brief to do this). Include an introduction to your case study (you don't need to rewrite it, just summarise it - including the important parts for your essay).

Why is this being discussed? Why are the topics you are going to be covering relevant and important within nursing? You may want to define any relevant key terms such as communication and person-centred care.

How will you approach the essay? Outline the main points you will discuss in the essay (TIP: use the learning outcomes to help you write this).
