This assessment is worth 100% of the overall FQ1001 module mark and should take 160 hours of independent study to complete.

How, when, and where to submit:

Deadline Date: 22nd April 2026, submitted via email to your tutors.

Feedback will be provided by Email approximately 15 working days from your submission, albeit your final grade will be available on your MyUCLan after exam boards, late June.

You should aim to submit your assessment in advance of the deadline.

Note: If you have any valid mitigating circumstances that mean you cannot meet an assessment submission deadline and you wish to request an extension, you will need to apply online, via MyUCLan, with your evidence before the deadline. Further information on Mitigating Circumstances via this link.

Introduction

This module forms the honours part of your Course.
In which you are expected to produce a written element to support your course topic research area.

Submission details

Deadline Date 22ⁿᵈ April 2026, submitted via email to your tutors.

You will submit both the written 1500 words, along with your PowerPoint presentation, and a copy of your Certificates.

Assignment Detail

Produce an (audiovisual) Presentation.
Research, read and choose a theme from the past decades.
Research a good range of sources to write your piece of 1500 words. Which you are then expected to read as part of a visually rich Presentation.
Complete and email your Proposal by Wednesday, 18ᵗʰ Feb.
The PowerPoint presentation should have no more than 20 slides, 10 minutes.
Tutorial support will be provided to agree on/discuss your research theme.
Complete weekly videos; Harvard referencing, Academic Integrity and Wiser.

Weekly Teaching into Assessment

Timetable schedule of weekly sessions that includes Lectures, Fashion stories (a weeklong of industry talks), Guest speakers and one-to-one Tutorials. Plus, blackboard self-directed learning to ascertain Certificates, along with videos to watch and learn.
