Submission Format 

This Assignment is an individual report which should be submitted via two stages below: 

Second and final Stage of your Research Project: 

You have completed the first stage of your research, the research proposal. You are now required to complete your research's next and final stages. 

Your final research project, which is an individually written Report, must be submitted via Turnitin. This report should be referenced using the Harvard referencing system. If not applied correctly, inaccurate referencing may lead to issues of plagiarism. The recommended word limit is 2500, although you will not be penalised for going under or exceeding the total word limit.

BTEC (RQF) Unit 19 Vocational scenario 

Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionising the business landscape by enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making processes. The inventors of AI provide proof that AI automates routine tasks and enables businesses to streamline operations, reduce human error and allocate resources more effectively.

Dr. Masood owns and operates a forward-thinking healthcare clinic called BAJ Health. He wants to adopt an AI system to assist with patient care and administrative tasks. This system would be called "MedBot". The other doctors, at BAJ Health, believe that the AI-powered customer service bots can provide instant support by analysing a vast amount of medical data to identify treatments for common ailments.

The bot will match conditions suffered by patients in relation to the symptoms they experienced, helping the medical team to diagnose illnesses quickly. However, it is also believed that the integration of AI also presents challenges, including potential job displacement, the need for robust data security measures, and ethical considerations surrounding privacy and transparency.

Junior Research Assistant 

You have been offered the role of Junior Research Assistant for a 12 month placement at BAJ Health with the following responsibilities: 

• To provide assistance in various research activities, ensuring accuracy and reliability in data collection and analysis 
• Contribute to the effective execution of project tasks as required, working closely with all relevant teams to achieve set objectives 
• Engage in continuous learning and development activities to enhance personal knowledge and contribute to the project's innovative solutions
• Preparing reports, presentations and collating all the information on a format that can be understood by the directors and stakeholders
