This assignment is an individual assessment. Students must showcase their understanding of Excel functions and their ability to effectively communicate the steps involved in using them by creating a video tutorial.
1. The management of Company XYZ wants to determine the periodic payment amounts for loans of RM 180,000; RM 200,000; RM 220,000; RM 240,000; and RM 260,000, with loan terms ranging from 8 to 12 years in 1-year increments.
You are tasked with creating a two-variable data table demonstrating this process using your mobile phone video recorder and uploading it to YouTube.
2. Company XYZ heard rumors about a potential increase in interest rates by BNM (Central Bank of Malaysia), which would affect the variable interest rate of their secured loan.
You are required to calculate the interest rates that Company XYZ could manage if they can afford to pay RM4,600 by using Goal Seek.
Once again, you are required to demonstrate this process using your mobile phone video recorder and upload it to YouTube.
1. Download the Excel model provided in Moodle.
2. Familiarize yourself with the contents of the Excel model and the questions you need to answer. Identify the variables, formulas, and specific instructions outlined in the model.
3. Plan your video tutorial:
a. Create an outline of the steps you will demonstrate in your video tutorial. Think of how you could convey the demonstration in clear and concise steps.
b. Plan how you will say and demonstrate each step in Excel.
4. Record your video tutorial:
a. Use your mobile phone to capture your demonstration.
b. Explain each step clearly, aim to present your demonstration naturally, and avoid reading from a script.
c. Limit your video to a maximum of 5 minutes to ensure you are not penalized.
5. You can edit your video tutorial as needed to improve clarity, remove any errors or distractions, and enhance the overall presentation. Feel free to include annotations (or graphics) to enhance your video.

6. Upload your video to YouTube:
a. Create a YouTube account if you do not already have one.

e. Check you can play the YouTube video with the copied link.

5. Upload the following files to Moodle:
a. Coversheet
b. A Word document containing the YouTube video link that addresses all the previously mentioned questions.
A maximum penalty of 5% of the total mark allocated to this assessment will be deducted for each day that it is late.
This penalty will be prorated for each hour that it is late.
Assignments submitted more than 7 days after the due date will be given 0%.
Moodle will automatically close off the submission link at that due date.
