LPPH Individual Report Task 2024-25

Assignment Brief 

Write a report specific to a country presented in the group’s assigned global region exploring the named public health issue.

• The group report must be no more than 2000 words.
• These tips can be used with information from the presentation guidelines slides. You can now expand critically in writing on your topic within the set word count!
• See the LPPH CANVAS for other specific formatting tips required per Swansea guidelines.
• Please remember this is just a guideline! You can write your report in whatever style you wish, but it must have these core elements.
• You can use tables and figures necessary to present your work.
• The layout of your report must include. Please see the presentation slide guidelines for more tips:

A. Introduction

• Why is this issue of public health significance?
•  What is the underlying theory relevant to your topic?

B. Methods

• How did you go about retrieving your evidence?

C. Results

• Max 6 pieces of evidence for your synthesis
• Which of the 5 LPPH principles were observed? (life span development, human agency, historical time and geographical location, timing of decisions, and linked lives
• what other overall relevant patterns can you observe? E.g., The at-risk group(s) etc.

D. Discussion

• What policy initiatives could be or have been enacted/legislated to mitigate its impact?
• How will these initiatives be taken forward?
• How will they be evaluated?
