Leadership has played a crucial role in sustained growth and success of global companies and organisations such as Amazon, Alibaba, AstraZeneca, GSK, Pfizer, Apple, Netflix, Tesla, Deloitte, Microsoft, Dyson, DHL, Uniqlo, H&M, Zara, Harrods, Marks &Spencer, Nike, Addidas, Ifosys, Nestle, HSBC, CITI Group, including multinational conglomerates such as Tata Group and Virgin Group of companies.
These are examples of organisations from different industries and sectors of business, global healthcare, fast fashion, social media & marketing, and finance. They offer products and services that have transformed global markets and society. There is more in common about these successful organisations characterised by high social impact and innovative business models developed by visionary and transformational entrepreneurs. The global companies have thrived with phenomenal growth and dominance through effective strategic and ethical leadership, building high performing teams, including investment in research and development for sustainable distinctive resources and capabilities for competitive advantage in global markets. Despite the sustained growth and success, the companies are continuously facing shifting leadership challenges and organisational transformative change emanating from the complexities, pressures and turbulence of the volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) global environment.
There are several leadership blogs and websites that provide more critical insights, stories and thought-provoking posts about leadership themes, including industry trends leading experts’ views and perspectives. Some reputable leadership blogs feature online in examples that include Forbes, Harvard Business Review, The Leader’s Digest, Inc.com, Leadership Insights, Women on Business and Full Focus.
Engaging with leadership blogs can help to become a better leader through active participation in contemporary themes and leadership debates. That helps to provide useful insights on evolving trends in leadership with enormous potential to further develop essential leadership skills and reflective practice abilities to become more effective in today’s VUCA world.
