Summative Assessment: 

Students will:

1. Submit a 1000-word written piece on a Health resource management issue/topic to an approved AI programme (currently Microsoft 365 copilot chat)
2. Using a structured AI prompt (to be provided/ created during the module), you will generate an AI response.
3. A 4000-word Critical analysis of the AI-generated response demonstrating engagement with relevant literature, critical thinking, and application of healthcare management principles [100% of Module Grade]

• You must achieve 50% to pass the module.
• Submission deadline- Time: 12 Noon on date confirmed in your Individual learning plan. (To be submitted as per Timetable details via Turnitin)

Submit a 1,000-word written piece on a Health Resource Management issue/topic to an approved AI programme (currently Microsoft 365 Copilot chat). You must use your student email only to sign in/ login to Microsoft 365 Copilot chat.

Steps the student will apply to instruct the Generative AI:

The first thing the student will do is to instruct the Generative AI (Microsoft 365 Copilot chat) to ensure it keeps it response within the expected limit.

Step 1: “I am a student currently writing an assignment. I will need you to play the role of a learning and brainstorming partner. You will generate ideas, clarify concepts and brainstorm ideas on a specific health resource management issue/topic that I will provide for you”.

• Introduce the concept of resource management and its importance for a healthcare organisation.
• State the purpose of the essay and the significance of your chosen resource management issue in relation to managing in a healthcare organisation.
• State how you intend to accomplish the assignment task.

• Conduct a critical analysis of the principles and frameworks applicable to your selected issue
• Demonstrate adequate application of relevant literature, critical analysis, and the synthesis of scholarly ideologies, noting some divergence as well as convergence concepts that could impact the effective management of a healthcare organisation

Overall Presentation and Appendix

• The overall quality of the presentation, including clarity, spelling, and grammar, is satisfactory.

You must include thr instruction brief, your written 1000-word essay, the prompt you used, and the approved AI (currently Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat) response as an appendix. It is advisable for you to copy everything and paste it into your answer sheet as a single appendix item.

How to check similarity

You can complete a similarity check by going into your cohort summative submission page on Turnitin prior to the deadline.

You can complete a similarity check as many times as you wish, and you will get an immediate similarity percentage result for the first 3 times.

After that it will take 24 hours so, please be mindful of the cut off time for your final submission as once the date and time has elapsed you will not be able to submit your work.

Assessment regulations

• You may receive verbal and written feedback on Formative work, which is intended to aid your learning experience.
• For all assessed academic work, feedback will be available four weeks after the submission date. This feedback and any grade awarded are provisional until the Board of Examiners have ratified your awarded grade.
• Remember to use your feedback in conjunction with the assignment; the aim is to improve your performance, use feedback constructively to plan future work and performance. Where you are unclear with regards to the feedback, you should seek further clarification from the module team and or your personal tutor.
• There is a fee (£75) for every resubmission following failure at a previous attempt

  b.The claim for the extension MUST be on the prescribed form and;
