M31421 SEI Assessment Brief

The MSc project is a 60-credit project undertaken during the summer of your MSc programme (note, for those studying part-time this will be completed during the second summer of their programme).

FE7P64: The assessment requires students to complete a written original research report of a minimum of 10,000 words and submit it on the dedicated Turnitin link by Wednesday 17 September 2025 at 3pm.

LING-1018 Dissertation: Guided by a supervisor, the dissertation will allow students to plan a project, formulate research questions (LO1 & LO5); Hone research skills to access and use sources appropriately (LO2 & LO3); Produce an extended piece of independent work (LO4, LO5 & LO6).

BTEC (RQF) Unit 19 Research Project : LO1 Examine appropriate research methodologies and methods to identify those appropriate to the research process  LO3 Analyse data using appropriate techniques to communicate research findings

BIOM5713: Research Methods HDFN: Relate the pathophysiology of HDFN with clinical symptoms and laboratory tests. Compare the impact of blood group system on the severity of HDFN.

Welcome to the MSc Master's Project module. The purpose of this Handbook is to explain the processes and outputs of the MSc Master's Project. All materials are available on the MSc Master's Project page on Aula, but they are collected together and presented here in the handbook for easy access.

BM4200 Research Project: The research project is an independent piece of work that we hope you will find both challenging and interesting.  This handbook aims to support you in the completion of your research project.

Dissertations should be no longer than 15,000 words. This is an absolute maximum, and students are asked to respect it. A thesis can still be excellent without reaching the word limit.

Including the title of the dissertation, your name and degree course, and the institution awarding the degree (Newcastle University Business School). The title should be succinct yet clearly specify the report's content.

This module aims to provide students with an opportunity to apply and develop their research skills and to extend their knowledge, understanding and ability to critically analyse in a specialist area of interest.
