Labelling Your Work
You must make sure your files are labelled clearly, indicating your student number and the contents.
Good Practice for labelling work
StudentNumber-Module-Assessment Name
The work you submit for assessment must reflect your own thoughts and understanding and you must be able to explain and discuss your work if required.
You may use GenAI to help you as you prepare your work. As a UOP student you have free access to MS Co-pilot. Other platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini may be used.
On this module, you may use GenAI to help you:
1. Generate initial ideas for the content for your assignment. This could include key topics to cover in your writing or an assignment plan.
2. Help you develop your argument
3. Translate your bullet points into full sentences
4. Condense your writing into more succinct paragraphs to help reduce word count
5. Suggest improvements to your work
6. Adapt the tone of your writing so that it is more academic in style
Submitting work that is wholly GenAI-generated content or uses large portions of text that is GenAI-generated content, is not allowed and could constitute an academic offence. If you choose to use GenAI you must critically analyse and assess the GenAI output, and then further develop and/or contextualise it to ensure that the assignment you submit is substantially your own work.
You must clearly state if and how you have used artificial intelligence (AI) in preparation of this submission.
This acknowledgement is a mandatory part of the submission. It can be an additional page at the start of your submission (after the cover page), or it can be a separate document, but it must be submitted.
Work submitted without the acknowledgement is considered to be incomplete.
Every submission must include the required acknowledgement, which must be consistent with the content of the items being submitted.
If there is no acknowledgement contained in the submission, or if the acknowledgement is inconsistent with the work being submitted, then the University’s academic misconduct regulations apply.
Academic tutors may need to discuss with you any aspect of your submission, including the content of your acknowledgement.
