You are required to produce a literature review that critically evaluates cross-cultural approaches and strategies in project management leadership, with a particular focus on methodologies that are suitable for specific stages of the project management cycle.

You are empowered to conduct independent research, providing industry-specific and international case studies, to convey established knowledge and contemporary concepts within your review.

You will be able to critically analyse and appraise unbiased and valid literature about Cultural Leadership within the context of International Project Management. You will need to identify areas of controversy in literature and answer any questions that need further research.

Consider topics covered throughout this module, for example:

  • Leadership competencies and their place in Project Management
  • Cross-cultural ethics and practices in Project Management
  • Establishing vision and purpose
  • Communication and stakeholder management at different stages of the Project Management cycle
  • Organisational culture and the impact on project success
  • Building high-performing teams across geographical borders
  • Decision-making and critical thinking as a leader of a project
  • Leadership project management standards to be upheld
  • International HRM and adherence to standards and governance
