In   today’s   globally   competitive   business   environment   trade   disputes,   political   uncertainty,   economic crises   can   all   determine   where   companies operate. Corporations have to decide where to invest. Currently many companies are making strategic decisions on their investments in China and else where and whether to continue to invest there, move to other locations or, if possible, return to their respective country. In this regard, Vietnam has become an attractive investment destination for many Multinational Corporations (MNCs) with favorable government policies, numerous free trade agreements, a strategic geographical location, and a young, educated workforce.

Your assignment is to use the company in Assignment A1.1 and write about the two tasks below:

1. Write a report to evaluate how operating in a global market influences your company’s organizational structure, culture, and functions.

• How does the global market influence your company? You are required to use the McKinsey 7S model of organizational structure to help you to analyze and evaluate the influences.
• Use Hofstede's dimension of Culture to demonstrate how national cultural differences have influences upon your company.
• Critically evaluate the influence of ethical and sustainable practices impacting your company in today’s international markets.
• Make valid and justified recommendations of how your company should adapt structure and strategy to support decision making in a global context.

2. Write a report to develop a global strategy to support decision making for your company.

• What social influences impact the decision-making processes within your company that may hinder or help an organization grow its global operations?
• Devise objectives and strategies to support global decision making to meet your company’s objectives.
• Develop strategies that embed an integrated approach across different countries to achieve competitive advantage
