a.Using examples of commercial and non-commercial buildings, explain how a range of different building types are utilised for particular purposes.
b.Explain the different types of structure used by these buildings. Your answer must include the following:
i.The advantages and disadvantages of the performance characteristics of different structures and their implications for building fabric maintenance.
ii.A comparison of examples of old and modern buildings to explain the advantages and disadvantages of changes in structural design and the components and materials used in their construction.

i.Typical elements of building fabric
ii.The range of typical building services
iii.Relevant processes and procedures for planning, delivering and monitoring the programme.
iv.The specialists you could use to assist you in developing and delivering the programme (including when and how you would you use these specialists).
b.Using examples of building fabric and building services, describe how different types of maintenance are classified.
c.Explain the advantages and disadvantages of using (i) in-house and (ii) outsourced staff resources to deliver building fabric and building services maintenance.
d.Explain how you would manage each of the following resources to ensure maintenance services are delivered to required service levels.

iii.Property management professionals and specialists
