1. There are two tasks – Task I (SQL Accounting-see Attachment I) & Task II (SQL Payroll-see Attachment II)
2. You need to address the following tasks and save the answers in ONE pdf file by sequence. Use UNM standard coursework cover page for submission.

Task 1 (SQL Accounting) – Total: 50 Marks

(a) Generate the following reports for the management year end meeting:

1. General Ledger Report-Detail (Refer to sample in page 3).
2. Trial Balance as of 31 December 2025
3. Statement of Comprehensive Income for the year ended 31 December 2025
4. Statement of Financial Position as of 31 December 2025 and 31 December 2024 (side by side, in one statement)

(i) Your CEO requests for the following information to assess current year versus previous year’s performance:

Compute the following (show workings) for 2025 and 2024:

1. Current ratio
2. Quick ratio
3. Asset turnover

Note: Sales in 2024 amounted to RM10,000

Comment on the current performance of your company in comparison to the previous year’s performance based on your computation above.

(ii)  The hardware trading industry average ratios in 2025 are shown below:

• Gross profit margin: 30%
• Operating profit margin: 10%

Comment on your company’s ratios against the industry average ratios. Show relevant workings. [6 marks]

Task 2 (SQL Payroll) – Total: 10 Marks

Generate the following reports and answer the following questions.

Payroll Summary for January 2025 which could provide relevant details to the Accounting Department for data entry into the accounting system. Note: Payroll and Accounting software is not integrated.

Answer the following question:

Determine the payroll expenses of the employer for January 2025. Show relevant workings.
