This assessment consists of 7 weekly quizzes. These weekly quizzes will assess your knowledge of key concepts discussed during sessions and mentioned in pre-recorded weekly lectures. For successful completion of the quiz, you are required to study the material provided (lecture slides, tutorials, and reading materials), engage in the unit’s activities, and in the discussion forums. The prescribed textbook is the main reference along with the recommended reading material. By completing this assessment successfully, you will be able to identify fundamental aspects of project management and practices. This then will help in achieving ULO1 to ULO5.
Each quiz will be marked out of 5 and will be weighted 5% of the total unit mark (35% in total). The marking criteria and rubric are shown on the following page.

This assessment is designed to be completed in two parts (Part A and Part B).
In Part A, students are required to describe and discuss different phases of project life cycle, develop WBS and network diagram for this project.
A report should include the following sections:
1) Background of the case project and assumptions.
2) Project charter of the case project.
3) Conduct of systemic literature review describing and discussing the different classification of project life cycles and their associated phases and choose the best option for your case project.
4) Develop work breakdown structure (WBS) of the case project featuring 4-6 levels and 20-30 boxes.
5) Develop schedule plan (Activity List featuring 30-50 activities) including durations, sequencing, with milestones, deliverables, and network diagram of the case project
6) Conclusions, findings, justifications, recommendations.
The report (2000 words, fully referenced in Harvard style) must be submitted on the due date. The report must have a completed signed cover page.
