The aim of Assessment 2 is to demonstrate effective use of, analyse and recommend improvements for administration systems and processes to inform decision-making for an organisation.
You will continue your report from Assessment 1, by adding Part B to it. Part B of the report will provide an improvement process designed to help your chosen organisation optimise its administration systems and processes for effective performance. The requirements to include in this second part of your report are provided below.

Continue working in your role as a consultant, within the same context you chose for Assessment 1. This is either the case study provided or a current business you are working in. Write the second part of your professional formal report for your chosen organisation’s management team, including the requirements below.
In your Assessment 1 Report: Part A, you identified and discussed both an administration system and an administration process relevant to your chosen organisation. Choose one (1) of these, either the system or the process, to apply the improvement process to.
Design and discuss one (1) improvement process appropriate for your chosen organisation to optimise their system or process by capturing all of the four (1 – 4) steps below.
1. Analysis
a. Discuss the importance of being proficient in using analysis tools to enhance administration systems and processes. Recommend one (1) analysis tool (for example, SWOT or Root Cause Analysis) and describe its usefulness and limitations.
b. Apply this analysis tool to your chosen system or process. From your analysis, identify which two (2) problem areas should be prioritised for improvement first.

2. Problem-solving of improvement areas
a. Discuss one (1) approach for problem-solving to find the underlying causes and contributing factors that are creating problems in systems and processes.
b. Apply this problem-solving approach to one (1) of the two problem areas identified in the previous section 1, to find the underlying causes or contributing factors.

3. Developing solutions
a. Discuss one (1) approach for developing viable solutions in an Aotearoa New Zealand administrative context.
b. Apply this approach by recommending four (4) potential solutions to address the underlying causes or contributing factors identified in the previous section 2.

4. Evaluating solutions
a. Discuss three (3) criteria for evaluating potential solutions to problems.
b. Apply these evaluation criteria to one (1) of the four solutions recommended in the previous section 3.
