This assignment requires you to create a report that addresses the following:

1.    For the (a) Huda Beauty OR (b) Greggs UK brand audit, you must create a 1500-word brand development proposal that addresses the opportunities and challenges identified in the brand audit report:

  1. Identify and explain three key recommendations to develop the brand equity of either (a) or (b) that emphasise the use of modern technology and brand communications. Discuss both traditional and contemporary media in your brief.
  2. Outline how you will develop the brand identity and associations. How will the new brand associations be strengthened in customer decision-making? Consider applying the concepts and principles of the Customer-Based Brand Equity model and at least one other concept.
  3. Identify the potential challenges your chosen brand may face in implementing the suggested recommendations in an international market, applying the Three Cs framework.

2.  Create a concise, one-page visual board summarising the brand development proposal

Assessment Details

The assignment is designed to assess the following learning outcomes:

  • LO1: Evaluate and apply the conceptual ideas, frameworks and theories within contemporary brand management and explain how they underpin management practices in strategically building, positioning and managing sustainable brands.
  • LO3: Gain critical understanding of brand management issues of particular relevance in an international/global context. Eg country-of-origin branding, foreign branding
  • LO4: Evaluate and apply creative processes required in creating, designing, developing, proposing and managing brands

The required word count for this task is 1500

There will be a penalty of a deduction of 10% of the mark for work exceeding the word limit by 10% or more.
The word limit includes tables, figures, quotations and citations, but excludes the title page, contents page, references list and appendices.
