The Professional Plan will help you to prepare for your placement.

5. Activities: A table that shows the timeline (dates) for the activities that you plan to complete for the placement. The plan should show how you will complete at least 40 hours ANS307/120 hours BIO683 and should include some additional sessions you would be available attend if you are unwell for a session.
6. Contingency plan: outline your plan to complete remaining hours if you are unable to attend one or more practical sessions due to illness, etc.
Outline the core characteristics of the organisation hosting the placement, including:
1. Profile Brief profile of the organisation including in context of the industry in which it operates and the key stakeholdersfor the organisation
2. Priorities Outline the key priorities and values of the organisation
1. Career plan: Briefly outline your professional/careerplan following graduation. What types of jobs or roles are you targeting?
2. Careerlearning goals: Outline least three career learning goals that will support you in achieving your career plan. These goals should be SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and associated with a timeline).
1. Placement goals: Outline at least 3 aims/goals for the placement.
2. Alignment with (SMART) career plan: explain how your placement goals align to your broader career learning goals and career plan (i.e. what could you achieve on this placement that will help you get to where you want to go?).
3. Targeted skills: Are there any specific skills that you would like to focus on during this unit?
4. Alignment with host: Based on discussion with your placement supervisor, outline your understanding of the goals of the people/team hosting the placement? Include a statement about what are they hoping to achieve by hosting a student and what would a successful placement look like for the organisation. Comment on how well your goals align with that of the host organisation (i.e. are you on the same page?).

4. Biosecurity: Are there any biosecurity requirements that you need to comply with? What measures will you undertake to address biosecurity risks?
5. Travel plan: If you are travelling more than 100km - do you have travel plan and accommodation arranged?
6. Contact plan: What is the process for advising your supervisor if you are unwell or have a problem that means you can't attend on the day or need to leave early.
