The objective of this assignment is to enhance individual learners' skills, knowledge, and understanding of diversification strategies for business organisations.
Select any ONE diversified company or ONE company that has recently implemented a diversification strategy, operating either in Malaysia or globally. Apply your understanding of the Five Forces Model (Porter, 1980 )in strategic management, conduct an analysis and discuss the chosen company's move into a new industry. Your analysis must also, discuss in detail the risks and benefits that your chosen company has faced in pursuing the diversification strategy. Based on your findings, evaluate the reasons why the company of your choice has pursued such a strategy.

Objektif tugasan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemahiran, pengetahuan dan kognitif pelajar tentang strategi-strategi pempelbagian untuk organisasi-organisasi perniagaan.

Pilih mana-mana SATU syarikat terpelbagai atau SATU syarikat yang baru-baru ini melakukan strategi pempelbagaian yang beroperasi sama ada di Malaysia atau di peringkat global. Aplikasikan pemahaman anda tentang Model Lima Kuasa (Porter, 1980) dalam pengurusan strategik dengan menjalankan satu analisis dan bincangkan tentang langkah syarikat pilihan keindustri baru tersebut. Analisis anda juga perlu; membincangkan secara terperinci tentang risiko-risko dan faedah-faedah yang telah dihadapi oleh syarikat pilihan dalam melaksanakan strategi pempelbagaian tersebut.
