Description of the assignment:

You are required to complete a final Major Research Project, written in report format and appropriate academic style (use of headings and sub-headings).

The report should follow the below recommended structure, although this may change based on the type of research-based project you are composing and/or from the suggestions provided from your supervisor.

• Front Cover Page (see Handbook Appendix 6)
• Title Page (see Handbook Appendix 7)
• Acknowledgment
• Executive Summary or Abstract (brief, normally not more than 350 words)
• Table of Contents
• List of Figures (if applicable)
• List of Tables (if applicable)
• Chapter One – Introduction
• Chapter Two – Literature Review
• Chapter Three – Research Methodology and Methods
• Chapter Four – Data Findings, Analysis and Discussion
• Chapter Five – Conclusions and Recommendations (where appropriate)
• Personal Reflections  
• References (your full list of Harvard references using Cite Them Right Harvard Style)

  • Research proposal (or equivalent) to indicate the original research topic and plan

  • Research-based project log (signed)

  • Ethics related information, which includes:

  • For secondary research projects: Secondary declaration form (signed) (see Handbook Appendix 2)Appendices (including the below)

  • For primary research projects under an EC1b: ethics protocol approval letter, approved research instrument; EC3 Consent Form (if appropriate); EC6 Participant Information Form (if appropriate); and anonymised evidence of original data (please consult your supervisor / Module Leader for further info)
