AI-generated references are only acceptable if they are traced back to the original academic source. Each student must complete a peer evaluation quiz on Moodle.
CONTENT AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS |
Removal |
The Groups can request before the assignment week, that the faculty remove inactive members. If this is acceded to, the group redistributes that member’s scheduler activities amongst the others and the removed member will be placed another group or given an alternative assignment. |
Originality |
The report must be written in the group’s own words. AI-generated text must be identified and critically evaluated, not simply copied. |
Generic Content |
General descriptions of facts and theory that are not framed within arguments and applying theory earn no marks and may prompt QA hearings to identify their origins. The onus of proof is on the learners to prove the provenance of all content if any queries are raised. |
Use of AI and External Tools |
AI tools may be used for research, summarisation, comparative analysis, and data gathering. AI- generated content must be critically evaluated rather than accepted at face value. Marks will be awarded for insightful critique of AI findings, including discussion of biases, limitations, and inconsistencies. AI-generated text must be marked but is not automatically disqualified from earning marks if properly analysed. |
Figures & Citations |
All figures must be captioned, cited, and listed in a Table of Figures. Lecture slides are not valid sources. |
Referencing |
All theory and facts must be cited in-text (Author, Year) using Zotero’s “Add/edit citation” function, with The References section populated entirely using Zotero’s “Add Bibliography” function. |

Format & Submission |
The report must be uploaded as a .docx file by the group coordinator. |
