Assessment Description

The coursework for the module is made up of two assessments. Both assessments are practical (or research) reports. Details about the background, rationale, and type of analysis required will be provided for each practical report separately.

Learning Outcomes

Knowledge and Understanding: Understand the science underlying psychology as a discipline, gain knowledge of a range of research paradigms, research methods, and measurement techniques, including statistical analysis 

Intellectual Skills: Demonstrate research skills in carrying out empirical studies using different methods Present and critically evaluate research findings 

Practical Skills: Analyse data using quantitative and qualitative methods using relevant software including word processing and statistical software (SPSS)

Transferable Skills:  Communicate ideas and research findings effectively using spoken and written language
