Individual Assignment Brief

This brief outlines the individual assignment requirements for MG961. This assignment represents 60% of the final grade for this module.

This individual assignment requires you to produce a critical review of literature on the importance of institutions in the field of international business and management. Your literature review should demonstrate a wide-ranging and critical understanding of key debates, arguments and relevant theories. Given that much of this module focuses on understanding the importance of institutions and their role in creating a varied global business environment, you will be exposed to different theories and arguments about how and why institutions matter for international business. This task requires you to consolidate the knowledge received in this module and organise it the form of a literature review.

This assignment will allow you to start writing your review as you begin to undertake research and reading for this module. Crucially, this task will help you to enhance your academic writing skills to be able to produce a strong literature review for your dissertation project

Your literature review should meet the following academic requirements: -

 Provide an overview of key debates and perspectives in the relevant literature

- Provide analyses of at least 2 theories/frameworks in the literature

-Demonstrate critical thinking and analytical argumentation; be appropriately structured and referenced

- Be written in an academic essay format
