MBA7058 Assessment 2 Personal and Professional Development Plan: Leadership and Management - RCL

Assignment Brief 

A written report of 3000 words. Based on your engagement with appropriate literature and a critical personal reflection on your leadership disposition and ambitions, you will propose a strategy for attainment of personal and professional leadership goals. This assignment has two tasks. Only  for task 1 you are allowed Generative AI. For task 2 it is not allowed you must do it as normal assignment.

Task 1:

Using a range of relevant literature, critically evaluate modern approaches to leadership. ( 1000 words)

Task 2:

Identify your ‘target profession’ or  ‘career leadership goal’ which you would like to pursue after postgraduate study. Critically evaluate and analyse the gap between your own skill set and industry requirements. Devise a strategy for their achievements.  ( 2000 words)

i)  Provide a clear introduction to your target profession or career leadership goal (e.g., a graduate development scheme, self-employment, working for your family’s business, a promotion with your current employer, etc). You should highlight if this will be in the UK, your home country

ii)  Identify and critically evaluate leadership and management skill requirements in your target profession or career leadership goal. 

iii)  Systematically examine and reflect on your leadership disposition, skills, and behaviours by conducting a self evaluation on your own leadership behaviour (style) and skills based on the outcomes of self-assessment instruments provided during your weekly lecturers. You can also provide evidence from the toolkits and other psychometric test results/other diagnostics done online or that you have identified from previous work or performance appraisal experience, or researched online.

iv) Reflect on  your strengths and weaknesses. Devise a strategy to attain your target profession/career leadership goal by creating a personal development plan( template given at the end).
