LIBF Level 4: Diploma in Paraplanning (PARA 1)

Requirement:

You must complete a research-based assignment based upon the needs and  requirements detailed in the Main Task.  

This should be presented in a format which is suitable to be issued to a trainee  financial adviser.

Main Task:

As a qualified paraplanner working for a large firm of Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs), you have been asked to create a handout for  trainee financial advisers. This handout will be a useful reference  document, which will be distributed at an upcoming training session.

The focus of the training session will be on medium to long term  investment products and strategies for clients with a moderate to adventurous risk profile. The document should provide information for  the trainee advisers on both a range of different investment products  and suitable financial strategies for such long-term investment  planning. 

The taxation treatment of each product should be considered, along  with how clients may benefit from tax-efficient strategies when  considering their tax planning.
 
An example of a typical client investment portfolio should also be  provided within a suitable case study. The case study should illustrate  how the products and strategies identified may benefit such clients.
 
The reference document should be presented in an appropriate style  and should use appropriate language. You are required to provide a  comprehensive discussion on the subject matter.
