Assessment Scenario

A digital transformation strategy outlines how a company will utilise digital technology to continually develop novel products, services, processes, and channels of engagement (Pratt, 2023). It focuses on reshaping the organisation's long-term competitiveness and the sustainability of the business.

For this assignment, you will be acting as the new “Digital Transformation Consultant” responsible for coordinating and providing technology expertise to your organisation.

For ONE of the organisations below, the chief information officer (CIO) has tasked you to produce a “Digital Transformation Report and a Poster'' designed to evaluate and recommend changes that the organisation must implement by means to maintain a competitive edge and respond to a rapidly changing digital landscape.

This is your opportunity to demonstrate your capability and give your employer the confidence to let you run your own project in the future.

Task 1: Digital Transformation Strategical Framework (LO1)

Critically review and propose an appropriate digital transformation strategical framework that your organisation should employed in order to respond to current digital change.

Important: Your analysis for Task 1 should be critical- you must include some digital transformation objectives that can support key departments such as operations, ICT, and marketing to achieve a Pass grade. You are encouraged to use examples to reinforce your arguments for Merit. For Distinction and High Distinctions, you should evidence the use of extensive personal research which has been thoroughly critically evaluated.
