Your summative assessment for this module is made up of this 1 submission which accounts for 100% of the marks.

This module is assessed through one graded element. You must achieve at least 50% to pass this module.

By completing this assessment, you will the following learning outcomes (LOs):

  • LO2: Critically assess the likely impact of digital change on markets, organisations and employees.
  • LO3: Critically evaluate the leadership attributes and skills needed to effectively manage organisations and people in an environment subject to digital change.

 Assessment Scenario    

The ongoing shift to e-commerce continues to disrupt traditional retail channels, forcing sport brands to adopt new distribution and customer engagement strategies. Brands must navigate complex consumer demands for both value and sustainability, alongside the
need for digital innovation and supply chain resilience.

For this assignment, you will be acting as the new “Senior Digital Transformation Manager” responsible for coordinating and providing technology expertise to your organisation.

For ONE of the sports retail organisations below, the chief information officer (CIO) has tasked you to produce a “Digital Transformation Report and a Poster” designed to evaluate and recommend changes that the organisation must implement by means to maintain a competitive edge and create business value. This is your opportunity to demonstrate your capability and give your employer the confidence to let you run your own project in the future.

Critically review and propose an appropriate digital transformation strategical framework that your organisation should employed in order to respond to current smartphone digital change.

Furthermore, you must include some digital transformation objectives that can support key departments such as operations, ICT, and marketing to achieve a Pass grade. You are encouraged to use examples to reinforce your arguments for Merit. For Distinction and High Distinctions, you should evidence the use of extensive personal research which has been thoroughly critically evaluated.

Design a poster which evaluate and illustrates two (2) disruptive technologies and techniques that will likely impact the smartphone industry, employment and the labour market in the next 5 years.
