Assessment Brief
Assessment 2 comprises an individual report on a given case study scenario. Your report will be structured by specific questions on the case study that you will be expected to address.
The total word count for this assessment is 2500 words.
- You are required to write in your own words and in the 3rd person.
- In order to pass, you will need to support your arguments with references to relevant reading. Ensure that such references contribute to your argument e.g. they can substantiate a view expressed. You are expected to use 15 peer-reviewed articles in addition to the essential reading on the reading list.
- Any quotations should be clearly identified by both quotation marks and a page-numbered reference. Quotations should be few in number, if used at all. They should be restricted to short phrases that convey their meaning particularly effectively, and it should be clear from your own words that you know what they mean.
- You are required to use the Cite Them Right Harvard system of referencing (see your MA HRM Course Handbook). Your list of references must only include sources referred to in your assignment. Do not include texts/journals which may have formed part of your wider reading but to which no reference is made in your assignment.
- Your assignment should be presented using font size 11, on single pages in double line spacing, and pages should be numbered.
- You must state the exact number of words used at the end of your assignment and not exceed the maximum word count. A significant excess of words will normally result in an automatic fail.
Learning Outcomes Addressed:
This assessment will address LO2, LO3, and LO4:
