Guidelines for Poster Presentation:

Part A:Written Assignment:

Identify an area of practice from your review of the evidence that needs to change and is potentially within your power to influence. Include the following in your presentation. 

1. Rationale for the Project:

Outline the current situation, the problem(s) associated with it and evidence to support the change. Justify your decision to embark on this project considering:

• Health Service Priorities 
• National and International evidence 
• Financial, technical organisational and timing feasibility

2. Project Plan:

• Define the Change management project and outline the aim and measurable outcomes.
• Identify key stakeholders and identify their level of involvement in the project and the rationale for same
• Identify the resources (technical, organisational (Human & Physical), financial) required to undertake the project and outline a time frame for the project with realistic time frames using a Gantt Chart 
• Justify the approach you’ve chosen to adopt in this project and the evidence to support achieving the outcomes. 
• Identify the drivers for change. 
• Identify the barriers to change and strategies for dealing with these. 
• Identify the critical change management issues likely to arise in the process of implementing the project.

3. Influencing key stakeholders:

• Identify at least 3 key stakeholders. 
• Explain the rationale for your choice of people. 
• Identify their level of accountability for the change, consider their level of readiness to embrace the change, consider level of interdependence explore how they can assist and influence the change, 
• Identify an engagement and communication plan.

Part B: Poster Presentation:

You are expected to submit an A4 copy of your poster before deadline indicated above, and the present this information in a A0 size Poster Presentation also on the date indicated above.

Two adjudicators will judge your Poster Presentation. 

During your 10-minute presentation, you will be expected to support the visual presentation with a verbal overview. Thus, you will be able to explain the background and development of your project and give the rationale and significance of the presented material. The adjudicators will ask you questions up to 10 minutes.

Please include in your presentation a reference list with evidence-based peer reviewed literature and policy appendices/documents relevant to you projects rationale and plan.
