Based upon the MSc programme you are registered on you are asked to:

  1. Identify a problem/hazard related to a specific situation, present information needed to carry out a risk analysis.  (Summative assignment 1)

  2. Write a case study indicating the key activities that need to be carried out to assess the severity of the hazard.  You are also requested to develop a strategy to minimise the probability of the identified problem/hazard occurring.  You are encouraged to use the logical sequence as discussed and presented below in your lectures for a formal risk analysis. Summative assignment 2)

Part 1: Presentation

Prepare a 10 minute presentation on the topic you have chosen.  The presentation will be marked as work in progress.  You will also have 5 minutes to answer questions following your presentation.  The presentations will be on Friday 29th  November and 4th December 2024.  Please add your presentation to Moodle by 23.30 on 27th November 2024.

You should be aiming to write an account of up to c. 2,000 words (excluding any supporting references and any figures and tables).  The final report will be uploaded to Moodle by 23.30 on 5th January 2024.
