Assignment Learning Outcomes

Assessed Intended Learning Outcomes  Knowledge and Understanding 

On successful completion of this module, you will be able to: 

• Discuss the required attributes and behaviors of HR professionals by the CIPD  professional behaviors map and standards (HR students), and of managers/leaders  (Management students). 
• Evaluate different leadership and management styles and apply these to various situations, including programs of change.  
• Identify your preferred leadership style and recognize ways leadership skills may be developed, both individually and across an organization.  
• Identify and plan ways, based on theory and evidence, in which managers may enhance the motivation and commitment of staff and manage interpersonal conflict.  
• Advise how cohesive and effective teams may be formed through, for example, the use of strategies such as flexible working for the benefit of both organizations and employees.  

Assignment Learning Outcomes

• Review financial information and write a brief report on the financial situation within an organization. 
• Reflect on yourself as an HR professional (HRM students) or a manager/leader (Management students), including your development needs (as related to the CIPD professional behaviors map and standards (HRM students only). 
• Present ideas in a professional, ethical, and convincing manner for different types of people. Analyse and critically evaluate written material encompassing a complex array of people management issues and prioritize these.
• Demonstrate digital skills via the use of various technologies.
