Sheila, 34, got married 2 years back, and worked as a financial consultant for around 4 years. Her husband, Raymond, is an executive at a call centre. Marriage was well until the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Things begin to fall apart; finances are down, and communication is no longer what it used to be. Raymond’s company is also downsizing, and he is worried he may be retrenched. Sheila is having panic attacks for the first time and is under medical care and subsequently referred to a psychotherapist for follow-up.

Task:

In an essay format, elaborate on how Sheila may benefit from the psychotherapeutic interventions. As the attending therapist, recommend a model of intervention, and how she may also benefit from other modalities to overcome some of the limitations of the chosen model. You can assume that you are a trained psychotherapist and engaged to support Sheila.
