Students will choose a case study, from the four provided on Moodle, to address how a strengths-based approach can yield the best possible outcomes in the given case.  

Assignments must contain the following elements (connected to Learning Outcomes 1-4): 
1. Use of ecological systems theory, in addition to other relevant theory and literature, to help better understand this scenario. 
2. Reference to relevant policy or legislation that may affect the outcomes of the scenario. 
3. Discussion of strategies or approaches (methods) that could be used by professionals from both health and social care to support any relevant persons in the scenario using a strength-based approach.  
4. Consideration of the potential limitations and challenges of using a strength-based approach in this scenario. 

Your discussion in relation to all of the above points should be developed using appropriate research and evidence (academic literature) demonstrating awareness of local, national and global contexts.
