The Ekonomi Madani initiative, launched on July 27, 2023, aims to transform Malaysia's economy by focusing on sustainable growth, social justice, and improving the quality of life for its citizens. This framework is central to the government's economic agenda and is reflected in the budgets for 2024 and 2025, which allocate significant resources to the construction industry

TASK REQUIREMENT

Analyse the impact of the Ekonomi Madani framework on the Malaysian construction industry (CI), focusing on the budget allocations for 2024 and 2025. In your analysis, discuss how these allocations support various construction related initiatives, and evaluate the potential benefits and challenges that may arise for the industry in achieving sustainable growth.

Your explanation should be in an A3 poster format and could include the following structure:

• Introduction to Ekonomi Madani and its relevance to the CI.
• Overview of budget allocations for 2024 and 2025, highlighting key figures in the CI.
• Detailed analysis of how these allocations impact the CI
• Discussion of the benefits and challenges faced by the CI from the Ekonomi Madani framework.

Your client operates a private university and intends to establish a new campus in Sarawak. The area designated for development is roughly 9000 square meters and in irregular plan shape. The area features a flat topography adjacent to a riverbank and is situated on geological deposits of coastal and riverine alluvium, together with terraces of clay, silt, sand, and gravel interspersed with layers of peat. The proposed location as shown in the figure below:

The client selected UiTM campuses as a benchmark for the specific initiatives. As the chosen consultant, select any existing building (academic, office, hostel, laboratory, or hall) on the UiTM campuses as a baseline for a new building. The proposal should highlight the upgrades of the existing building to a new one in terms of its design, cost, sustainability factors, and construction methods.
