Task Details/Description:

Identify an information technology that is emerging and has some business adoption in any industry. Choose an organisation that may benefit from adopting this information technology. Your task is to write a report that explores how this emerging information technology can create Business Value for the organisation of your choice.

In detail:

• You are expected to choose an organisation and provide a short description of its business and strategic priorities.
• Provide details of specific and insightful scenarios on how the chosen information technology (or certain aspects of it) could be used by this organisation.
• Provide a systematic analysis on how the chosen technology could create business value for the organisation and make specific suggestions on how this value could be captured.
• Propose an implementation plan for the adoption of the information technology in the chose organisation. Identify the challenges that would accompany the technology adoption and make well-grounded recommendations on how the organisation can manage the challenges.

The assignment should be written in form of a business report that is targeted at the senior management of your chosen organisation.

Upon discussion with the tutor students may modify the focus of their report to pursue a specific area of interest, namely, identifying an emerging technology and an organisation where this can be analysed.
