Task 1 – Assignment – 2000 words +/- 10% (ILO1 and ILO2)

Critically assess John Adair’s management theory in terms of how the three elements of task, team and individual fit together and the components of each part.

Your assignment should refer to other management theories and approaches in contrast, including their role in supporting team-working and triple bottom-line performance.

Your assignment should also cover motivational theories, performance management and sustainable and ethical decision-making for you as a manager of the future.

Task 2 – Recorded Presentation – 10 minutes – (ILO3)

Produce a 10-minute recorded presentation (e.g. using MS Teams) reflecting on your performance in the assessment centre and outlining your suitability for a management position based on the job description and person specifications provided before the assessment centre.

Your recording should take an academic approach, referring to your reflection model e.g. Gibbs, Rolfe etc. the use and benefit of Assessment Centres, and the tools contained within them for predicting future performance of candidates.

A written transcript of your recording MUST also be uploaded to Turnitin. References MUST be included in your transcript.
