LO3: Evaluate the factors responsible for success or failure of a business start-up through effective practice and critical analysis.
You are required to carry out a feasibility study to establish the important parameters that would be needed to complete a full business plan should you wish to start your own business in future or to submit a full business plan for your Major Project. In effect, this assessment is the foundation to a full business plan.
For this assessment you will critically evaluate relevant theoretical concepts and apply analytical tools to develop a business proposition (Learning Outcome 1) and demonstrate knowledge of the market(s) you wish to enter. Review of current literature is necessary to pitch a commercially credible business venture (Learning Outcome 2). You will also critically analyse business start-up challenges and propose solutions to mitigate risks (Learning Outcome 3).
Your portfolio submission should be 2000 words (plus non-text materials). Professionalism will be demonstrated through the clear / succinct narrative and considered visual layout of your work.
