Assessment Type | Task B: Group Report |
This task is a to prepare you for writing a strategic consultancy report that draws its knowledge, recommendation, and advice from both academic and practitioner publications. The reports should help stakeholders, including governments at all levels (national, regional, and local), to have deep understanding of your chosen SDG. The group must clearly determine their own chosen SDG from the UN SDGs.
One of the biggest challenges when it comes to understanding Sustainable Developments Goals (SDGs) is determining where we are on the journey towards accomplishing the UN SDGs.
Students will identify one of Sustainable Development Goals and analyse where a company of their choice is today in delivering the sustainable development goal. The students will identify the key elements and factors that hinder or facilitate the achievement of the identified sustainable goals and make recommendations on the way forward using engineering and innovative solutions.
The group must aim to offer a practical guide on how to achieve SDGs in line with the strategic vision or goal of the chosen company and how to measure performance of the proposed solution within a given period of time [minimum of three years and maximum of five years].
