Section A: To be completed by Student Learning Progress Summary

Your final placement report should be 1800-2000 words in total, including in-text referencing, and written in critically reflective style.

For each of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Practice Standard 2023, identify what has been transformative in your developing practice framework since your mid- placement review and presentation. You are expected to use a specific placement experience (approximately 200 words per Standard) when writing the report, and not use the same examples from your mid-placement review.

You are required to use critical reflections from supervision, your learning plan and relevant literature to support this critically reflective exercise. It is COMPULSORY to use in text referencing, which can include relevant academic literature from units of study and readings undertaken on placement, the AASW Practice Standards (2023) and AASW Code of Ethics (2020), relevant social policies and theories used on placement, knowledge drawn on from placement including grey literature, legislation and research. You are also expected to have a reference list. If you do not use appropriate in-text referencing, you will be asked to rewrite the Final Placement Report.

Ensure to complete and save your draft in a Word document, use the spell-check and word count functions to ensure that your report meets the assessment requirements, and copy it into your Sonia Online Final Placement Report when ready.

Include at least 10 references.

Save draft and review your FPR as a whole. Look out for any grammar or spelling errors, and ensure your formatting is tidy and presentable.

Once you are satisfied with your report, Save Draft again (DO NOT SUBMIT) and ask your Agency Field Educator/External Field Educator and Field Education Liaison Officer (FELO) to review. They will advise if any edits are required, and when your report is ready to be submitted.

Placement Completion and Finalisation Notes for Student

Student needs to work with Agency Task Supervisor, Agency Field Educator/External Field Educator and FELO to ensure all placement documents are finalised in Sonia.

Important

ACAP has an internal process where the Academic Assessment Panel approves all academic results periodically. To avoid delays in getting your result, make sure you complete all documentation in Sonia by the last day of placement so that your results can be submitted in time; otherwise, this will be done in the next scheduled Assessment Panel meeting in the following months.
