CW2 Individual report (Information Management)

a) Information management (16%)

Based on the hypothetical or real-life project case study from coursework 1 If your case study is not a 3D model, please ignore and choose a 3D model drawn in any BIM authoring software], design a document management system in BIM360, one of the leading common data environments in the construction industry

• Setup your document to comply with the Common Data Environment requirements of the international BIM Standard ISO 19650

• Make sure the names of your folders end with your “YourSurname” in uppercase letters

• The folders of your document should be in the “Plan folder” of the document
• Justify the types of information in each folder

• Explain this in a word document, name it “YourSurname” and drop in “Document-Your Surname” discussed in b)
• Make an alteration on your model, and compare both versions, include the screenshot of your alteration in “Document-Your Surname” sub-folder of the “Project Folder” 

Note, you are responsible for creating the “Document-Your Surname” sub-folder

• Name the screenshot “YourSurname-Alt”
• Create 3 issues on any plan drawing of your model
• Make sure all fields are completed and allow Status as “Open”

This coursework is about using BIM 360 software to under the following tasks:

• Create template checklists for all the types of checklist (Quality, Safety, Punchlist and Commissioning).

• Ensure each template contains at least 4 sections
• Ensure each template has a photo attached to any item of it. To do this, first go to site (it could be existing building including your office or home, ongoing project) and take photos with your mobile phone and store as JPEG or PDF files in the “Document-Your Surname” subfolder of “Project Folder” of the document management module

• Create 5 issues using the Field Management module. Using your mobile phones, attach 5 photos to the 5 different issues created. Make sure all fields are completed and allow Status as “Open”
• Using the PMAN7007-FB file in the Document-FHA subfolder of “Project Folder”, provide feedback about document management and field management modules of BIM360. Place your feedback in the “DocumentYour Surname” sub-folder of the “Project Folder”

• You are not graded for the quality of the content of your feedback, so please be as objective as possible. However, you will be awarded a
  mark for just completing and uploading the feedback form

c) Pre-contract BIM in a CDE (7%) [Number of words: Not relevant]

Implement a pre-contract BIM EP in any renowned CDE of your choice, e.g. Plannerly.
