PEV3771 Law Of Evidence : Court Observation Assignment

 PEV3771 TASK 

Observe a trial in a criminal matter in the Magistrates’ or High Court and compile a report on the stages of a trial,  including the rules and procedures of evidence applied by the court. Include the following in your report: 

• The  forms  or  kinds  of  evidence  tendered  during  the  trial  and  procedure  for admissibility thereof.  
• An evaluation of whether or not the trial was conducted in accordance with the relevant laws or procedures (refer to the specific law/procedures). 
• An opinion whether or not our trial system or procedure enhances the fact-finding mission of the court.

NB:  Provide  the  Case  number  of  the  case  observed,  two  reference  persons  with  full details, the court name, the town, dates you attended; and an official stamp of that Court on the assignment cover page or reference list. 

A supporting letter shall be provided for you to seek assistance at the courts.
