Analyse the international activities of one of the above organisations (your tutor will allocate an organisation to your group).  

Write a report detailing your findingsin relation to the areas below:

–Why is the company competing in the international market?

• How did they develop their strategy for going international? What was their ability to take advantage of opportunities and minimise threats in the external environment?

–How do they go (or how did they go) about competing in international markets?

• This might include comments about their capacity to analyse potential new markets; their market entry strategy; their use of corporate networks; their reliance on third parties, etc.

–Who are the main stakeholder groups for the company, and how well does the company meet their needs and expectations?

–Your general observations about the company’s performance in relation to:

• Planning (strategic planning process)
• Organising (organisational structure)
• Leading (the key founding / management staff and key accomplishments)
• Controlling (monitoring to ensure goals and targets are achieved)
