MGMT2003 Sustainable Event Development Assessment 3 Semester 1 2025 | CU

The Aim 

The aim of this assessment is for you to use your theoretical SED knowledge, undertake further research, and apply your learning to specifically address the sustainability requirements for a case of your choosing to develop a sustainable event guide and checklist. The assessment provides an independent learning opportunity for students to demonstrate critical thinking and analysis, problem-solving and decision-making skills. In addition, you will demonstrate evidence of research skills, synthesis of a range of sources of information and application of academic learning from your studies to a real-world events context. This is communicated in written format through the development of a sustainable events guide & checklist comprising words and visual representations to demonstrate a thorough understanding of context, audience, and purpose that is responsive to the assigned task and focuses all elements of the work. 

The Task 

Students are required to develop a Sustainable Events Guide and Checklist for an organisation of your choosing - concerning events*. Students will need to expand their knowledge and understanding of the organisation, its physical and temporal characteristics and relationship with events. This is achieved through research and reading of theoretical and current sources to assist in the development of contextually specific, sustainable events.
