Assignment Description of MBB7010M 

You will produce a 12,000-wordreport on a topic that is relevant to your programme of study.

You will undertake your 12,000-word report in ONE of the following formats, either:

1. Dissertation.
2. Business Consultancy Project.

Your work should be an appropriate research-driven investigation into a relevant issue relating to your programme of study, supported by an appropriate literature review and research methodology.

Please see the relevant research handbook on Moodle for further guidance on the structure and content of your capstone project report.Please also:

1. attend timetabled/scheduled sessions;
2. attend meetings that are arranged with your supervisor; and
3. discuss your progress regularly with your supervisor for further guidance on structure and content.

IMPORTANT: Research Ethics Applications

• Please note that students are not permitted to conduct any primary research until they have received formal ethical approval from the university for their proposed capstone project.
• Before you conduct any primary research, you musttherefore submit an ethics application for review by the relevant programme/module research ethics committee, team or reviewers. Details of the processes that need to be followed and the deadlines for ethics application forms to be submitted will be advertised on the MBB7010M Capstone Project site on Moodle.

Please also note the following additional requirements:

• The assignment must be submitted electronically via the Turnitin submission portal on Moodle. Please note that a hardcopy (paper) submission is not required.
• The assignment should be produced in Microsoft Word.
• An accurate word count should be provided on the title page.
• Your name and student number must also be included on the title page of the report.
• You are required to add the following declaration on the second page of the report: “I declare that I am the sole author of this assignment and the work is a result of my own investigations, except where otherwise stated. All references have been duly cited”.
