Students will be required to complete weekly reflective entries based on the development of core skills over the first 6 weeks of study. This can be evidenced by the completion of in-class activities and by completing weekly digital commitment tasks. It is important to highlight the collaborative core skills used when working in team activities, and it is suggested that photos of in-class activities should be included within the Padlet. It will be expected that core study skills will be applied to the reflective entries with the use of accurate spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Also, with the use of summarising, paraphrasing, and the overall structure of the Padlet (use the template provided). Students are encouraged to provide Harvard references and attempt citations within the written work.
Support for this assessment is available via the video recordings on BREO, the AST Success Workshops, individual one-to-one appointments with a unit leader/workshop tutor, the Academic Liaison Librarian, or the Learning Development Advisor. These methods of support will be clearly advertised in all assessment guidance and workshops.
"What do I need to do to pass?” During the assessment support sessions, you will be allowed to check your understanding of the requirements of the pass criteria for the assessment, as shown below.
We will be working on practical exercises in both the lectures and workshops, which are designed to develop your understanding and knowledge of how to prepare for this assessment. You will also have a formative assessment opportunity in Week 4, and developmental feedback will be provided to support you to improve your work before the summative assessment in Week 6. Assessment support will be provided by your workshop tutors, online assessment support, or by attending assessment support sessions with the Academic Success Tutors.
Your assignment will be marked according to the threshold expectations and the specific marking criteria below (marking rubric). Please read carefully, as they will help you prepare and evaluate your own work before you submit. They will also help you understand the grade and feedback received once marked.
