Select an event venue of your choice a 10-minute individual presentation which analyses the opportunities for operational and process improvement within the events industry and the potential challenges in implementing them.

Assessment Title  A critical analysis of Operations and Processes improvement: 10-minute individual presentation with Q&A.
Things to include:  

Select a venue and a specific event held at that venue. Analyse the opportunities for operational and process improvement within the events industry and the potential challenges in implementing them for your selected venue and event. You must present your decisions and ideas in a 10-minute presentation which summarises what you have found and offers recommendations for improvement.

In each area you need to explain which theoretical models you have used and justify both the decisions and the models with supporting references. 

Using relevant theory, the presentation should include the following:-Introduction to chosen venue and the specific event and justification of the chosen venue and specific event.-An in-depth analysis of the operation and processes to identify the challenges and opportunities for improvement. You need to include the relevant models used to support your analysis.

-Recommendations (3-5) for improvement of your chosen venue and event, or an action plan including how to address potential challenges in implementing the recommendations.

Completion of this assessment will address the following learning outcomes: 
Critically evaluate OPI (Operational and Process Improvement) tools and techniques that can be utilised within Venues for Events, Sports or Esports.
Critically analyse approaches for OPI excellence within Events, Sports or Esports; identifying the key challenges and opportunities that are faced by Venue Managers.
Synthesise OPI and change management solutions/recommendations for improving the delivery and experience of Events, Sports or Esports Venue Management, overcoming extant challenges.

The maximum word count for this module assessment is shown on Page 1.  A +10% margin of tolerance is applied, beyond which nothing further will be marked. Marks cannot be awarded for any learning outcomes addressed outside the word count.
